Wine Riot is Second Glass's expo-style wine tasting, hitting Boston October 22nd and 23rd, 2010. Swirl, sniff and sip over 250 new baller wines from all over the globe, soak up knowledge from the experts at Crash Course Wine Seminars, conquer the Riot strategically with help from the Wine Intelligence Unit, and grab tasty food pairings under $5 from the hottest local restaurants. Throw in a DJ, photo booth, lounge, and more - this isn't your parents' wine tasting. Catch the Riot this October back at its original location Boston's Center for the Arts in the South End.

The Story Behind Wine Riot...
For too long, snooty and pretentious wine drinkers have intimidated us into being nervous about entering wine shops and afraid to ask simple questions in restaurants. For too long have we felt stupid for not understanding overcomplicated wine jargon like "on the nose, I get a hint of jackfruit." For too long have we been tricked into thinking high-quality wine needs to cost a lot of money. My brothers and sisters, the time has come to claim wine for our own!
Who cares if one guy decided a wine is worth "91 points" on an antiquated scale that was invented before most Americans had ever heard of Chardonnay? Is the wine good? Did you like it? Do you feel it was worth the money you paid for it? These are the questions we have dedicated our careers to answering.
Knowledge is power, and understanding the regions, winemakers and grapes used will not only save you a small fortune, but ensure that you'll drink the good stuff day in and day out. Reading about wine is one thing, but you'll never fully understand the stuff until you sip wine from every major region on the planet. And so, we present you with Wine Riot.

About Second Glass
Second Glass, the company that puts on Wine Riot. It is a Boston-based company that keeps an office in Chinatown. The company was originally founded in 2006 by Tyler Balliet as a side project but really took off when he partnered with Morgan First in October 2008. Since then the team has grown with two more full-time employees, a handful of part-timers, fantastic vendors and contractors and an army of interns. When you see us at the right, say hi!
