Its become tradition to create a new set of awesome temp tattoos for each Wine Riot!
Our designer Holly will be starting the new set next week, but needs YOUR ideas!
Last time we did a nautical theme, but this time we are looking for themes/tattoo ideas. Leave a message below or tweet @thesecondglass with your ideas to earn tickets to Wine Riot on April 16th and 17th! Make sure you are the FIRST one too! Sadly, if 30 people told us to make a Mermaid (already done last year) we can't give EVERYONE tickets, so you need to be the first one to claim your rock star idea!

Tattoo Idea:
Historical Boston Theme-- Paul Revere riding around town, wine in hand. Similar to this--holding a glass of wine.

circus / sideshow / coney island
1. An ode to the Olympics: the 5 rings, torch, specific sports (skiing, bobsled, skating, etc.)
2. The 4 elements (earth, air, fire, water) + wine
Not to mention Wine Riot falls on the same weekend as Paul Revere day! April 18th!!
What about continuing with the theme from last year and going more shipwrecked/burried treasure. Thinking things like
- a message inside a wine bottle
- a treasure map to wine riot
- treasure chest filled with gold wine glasses and wine bottles
Or, what about medieval or royal theme
- Wine jester
- King and queen of wine
- Royal wine bottle
Well, since Marathon Monday is the Monday right after Wine Riot -- why not have Boston Marathon themed tattoos?? Red wine has all those antioxidants in so it's totally good for your heart, right? Plus, what better motivation to run 26.2 miles than some delicious vino?
Shapes of various wine-growing countries with bad-ass expressions.
Ooooh! OR! How about Greek god/goddess themed tattoos? Dionysus (or Bacchus if we're going Roman) was the Greek god of wine and merriment - basically what Wine Riot is all about. You could have some gods and goddesses, a few nymphs, cupid, a little centaur looking guy, all drinking the nectar of the gods - VINO.
James Bond / Casino night theme. Double-oh-Vino.

... to elaborate since I hit "submit" too early... examples would include countries like Italy with an expression like "Legs for Days, with Tannins to Boot". *Or* you could do regions (Napa, Chianti, etc)
Argentina -- "Taste our candies from the Andes"
Champagne -- "Can't Complain When You're In Champagne"
Jumilla -- "Take Me-ah to Jumilla"
California -- "Wines so good you'll wanna Napa"
France -- "France is for (wine) Lovers"
plus some slogan tattoos "Life is divine Provence", "Lonely Rhoner"
-OR- #2 Suggestion: you can always fall back on adorabley drunken baby zoo animals. Just think: Koalas, Baby Joeys, Panda Bears, Polar Bears, Ostriches, Seals. You'd have to imagine how each animal held/drank the glass and you could have a lot of fun. Plus, who doesn't love adorabley drunk Koalas?
Roaring 20's/Prohibition/a gangster and his moll with a tommy gun and a bottle of wine.
1960s / Woodstock theme.
Peace. Love. Wine.
- turn of the century Montmartre, Moulin Rouge, can-can dancers
- a detective theme - think Sherlock Holmes trying to uncover the mystery of the missing vino.. "It's elementary my dear Watson!"

oh, i am all about some bacchus / greek gods. about time that guy got his due for his role in wine riot!
Detective/Mystery Themed Tattoos -- A Whodunnit of Wine Suspects -- Magnifying glasses, shoe footprints, drops of spilled red wine that look like blood, "Have you seen this Wine" posters?, Wanted: Fat and Powerful with a Killer Finish, Missing White Mistress, “Nose” for Crime, Wineglass Fingerprints.
You could even do a spinoff Clue Style: “Misses White, in the Kitchen, with the Corkscrew” “Miss Scarlet, at the Bar, with the Decanter” (OR “Cabernet in Napa with the Oak Barrel). This theme would go really well with the photo booth too… just a thought.
some alice in wonderland/wineland themed ones would be pretty cute & awesome...
or if you're gonna go with popular tattoo ideas you could do a bunch of pin up girls like some holding wine/grapes/bottles, there could be a waitress one serving some, marilyn monroe naturally being her lush self... hearts/stars/clovers... for the guys you could have some guns/snakes/typical boy tattoo things. there's always those cute little sparrows who carry banners ... =)
